Northern Tangara Trails

Friday 22nd February 2019

Mays Point
Today's walk was a quick one around some of the Northern Tangara Trails around Roches Beach and Lauderdale areas.
I parked at Seven Mile Beach and just did an anticlockwise circuit utilizing, roads, horse trails and walking tracks to arrive back at the car.
A good walk with one small hill and nice coastal scenery.
Distance: 17.0 kms.
Time: 3'35"
Ascent: 300 metres
GPX file is here.

South Arm Circuit

Tuesday 12th February 2019

South Arm
I needed a quick little walk today and South Arm fitted the bill nicely.
I parked at the end of Bezzants Road in South Arm and walked to the beach and headed north. There was a walk of about 3.0 kms along a beach and then small rocks to round Icehouse Bluff and on to Shelly Beach. This section needs to be done at low tide as there is only a narrow section to walk on and there are high sandstone cliffs in some sections. As it was I had to walk in the water in a couple of sections. The weather was not ideal with wind squalls and some showers.

Shelly Beach
I walked along Shelly Beach before picking up the track that goes around Gellibrand Point.

I continued on bypassing White Rock Point back to Opossum Bay. By now the sun had appeared but the wind was still blowing strongly.
